Lugares de tensão, 2018

“Lugares de Tensão” é um trabalho realizado em madeira e cabo de aço, tendo sido idealizado para ficar pendurado. Utilizando um pedaço de tronco único e sólido, a peça foi toda cavada internamente com a intenção de criar um espaço que pudesse ser visto de um lado ao outro. As formas externas foram esculpidas para receber dois finos cabos-de-aço que servem para manter o trabalho suspenso, possibilitando que o mesmo possa ser percebido em um ângulo de 360 graus. Dessa relação entre material, técnica e contexto (espaço interno da peça) temos, ainda, a ação da gravidade como um quarto elemento. Num contexto poético, a peça pendurada carrega um espaço/lugar em seu interior que, ao mesmo tempo, parece ter dois abismos em suas extremidades. O delicado fio de aço que mantém esse “lugar de tensão” suspenso carrega o motivo do nome do trabalho, afinal, pensar nos “lugares de tensão” é refletir sobre instabilidade, insegurança, fragilidade e, principalmente, repensar as possibilidades de relação e diálogo com os lugares que habitamos". "Lugar de Tensão" is a work made of wood and steel cable, and was designed to hang. Using a single, solid piece of trunk, the piece was all dug internally with the intention of creating a space that could be seen from one side to the other. The external shapes were sculpted to receive two thin steel cables that serve to keep the work suspended, allowing it to be perceived at a 360 degree angle. From this relationship between material, technique and context (internal space of the piece), we also have the action of gravity as a fourth element. In a poetic context, the hanging piece carries a space / place inside that, at the same time, seems to have two abysses at its ends. The delicate steel wire that keeps this “place of tension” suspended carries the reason for the name of the work, after all, thinking about the “places of tension” is to reflect on instability, insecurity, fragility and, above all, to rethink the possibilities of relationship and dialogue with the places we inhabit ".
