É artista transdisciplinar, representado pela galeria Verve de São Paulo. Tales vem realizando, ao longo de sua trajetória artística, obras amparadas tanto pelas artes visuais, como cênicas, situadas no cruzamento entre a performance, o vídeo, a fotografia, o objeto, o adorno/indumento e a instrução. O corpo e a performatividade são motes de especulação tanto em suas criações práticas como em suas pesquisas acadêmicas. Possui graduação em Artes Cênicas – Direção Teatral pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro; mestrado em Teoria e Crítica da Arte pela Universidade do Porto; doutorado em Estudos Teatrais e Performativos pela Universidade de Coimbra. Atualmente, cursa pós-doutorado em Artes pela Universidade do Minho, sendo convidado, nesta mesma instituição, a integrar o Grupo de Investigação em Estudos Artísticos como pesquisador sênior. Vem apresentado os seus trabalhos em diversos eventos e instituições nacionais e internacionais, tais como: SESC no Brasil; Fundação Theatro Municipal de São Paulo; The Kitchen e Sattelite Art Show, em Nova York; Musée des Abattoirs em Toulouse, na França; MACRO – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Roma; Centro Municipal de Arte Helio Oiticica, no Rio de Janeiro; BienalSur, em Buenos Aires; Akureyri Art Museum, na Islândia; TSB Bank Wallace Arts Centre em Auckland, na Nova Zelândia; Galeria Labirynt, na Polônia; Defibrillator Gallery, em Chicago; Galleria Moitre, em Turim; Kuala Lumpur 7th Triennial – Barricade, na Malásia e The Biennial 6th Bangkok Experimental Film Festival na Tailândia. Alguns de seus trabalhos integram, permanentemente, acervos públicos e privados, dentre eles: Museu Serralves e Museu Bienal de Cerveira, em Portugal; MUNTREF, em Buenos Aires, Argentina; Pinacoteca João Nasser; MAC Niterói; MAM RJ e MAC USP, no Brasil. Recebeu o Prêmio Aquisição Câmara de Vila Nova de Cerveira na XIX Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira em 2017; Menção Honrosa na II Bienal Internacional de Arte Gaia em 2017; prêmio de Artista Revelação no Salão Contemporâneo do 18º Salão de Artes Plásticas de Catanduva, em 2014 e prêmio de melhor figurinista no Aldeia FIT 2006, em São José do Rio Preto. Recebeu alguns apoios à internacionalização artística, sendo um em dança e performance pela Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian (2018), outro pela Câmara Municipal do Porto, por meio do programa Shuttle (2019) e outro pela Fundação GDA (2019).

He is a transdisciplinary artist, represented by the Verve gallery in São Paulo. Tales has been carrying out, throughout its artistic trajectory, works supported by both visual and scenic arts, located at the intersection between performance, video, photography, object, ornament / instruction and instruction. The body and performativity are motives for speculation both in its practical creations and in its academic research. Graduated in Performing Arts - Theater Direction by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro; master's degree in Theory and Criticism of Art from the University of Porto; PhD in Theater and Performing Studies from the University of Coimbra. Currently, he is a post-doctorate in Arts at the University of Minho, being invited, in this same institution, to join the Research Group in Art Studies as a senior researcher. Received the Acquisition Award Câmara de Vila Nova de Cerveira at the XIX International Biennial of Art of Cerveira in 2017; Honorable Mention at the 2nd International Biennial of Art Gaia in 2017; Revelation Artist award at the Contemporary Salon of the 18th Plastic Arts Salon in Catanduva, in 2014 and award for best costume designer at Aldeia FIT 2006, in São José do Rio Preto. He received some support for artistic internationalization, one in dance and performance by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation (2018), another by the Porto City Council, through the Shuttle program (2019) and another by the GDA Foundation (2019).
