Os carrinhos de choque [bumper car]

Já foi o tempo em que o carro de choque (humper car) era uma das atrações mais emocionantes e disputadas dos parques de diversão. Com a proliferação de parques temáticos cada vez mais sofisticados em produzirem grandes quantidades de adrenalina, os ingênuos brinquedos foram praticamente abolidos. Em um mundo cada vez mais distópico, os carrinhos de acrílico com rodas, ladeados de borracha, viraram travessuras que beiram ao ridículo. Podemos fazer um paralelo entre o boxe e o MMA: se antes nos curvávamos diante da técnica de um Muhammad Ali e os seus cruzados demolidores (usando luvas), nos dias que correm, todos babam, em uma catarse coletiva, diante de um, quase assassino, Conor Mc Gregor, dando cotoveladas na cabeça ensanguentada de seu oponente largado no chão, inerte, após levar uma joelhada no queixo.  Não é de hoje o regojizo das massas com o sofrimento alheio; vide as arenas romanas ou, trazendo outros fatos desse “castelo mal assombrado”, os navios negreiros e os campos de concentração que ainda são uma chocante realidade em nossos tempos. Alba, na obra “Bombs are the new toys” (as bombas são os novos brinquedos), não fala apenas do artefato bélico, produzido em grande escala pelas grandes potências, mas do ultra conservadorismo que vem crescendo e trazendo, em seu rastro, a naturalização da violência e consequente pulsão de morte como nuvem que paira. Se trata de um alerta, ou seja, não devemos ficar desatentos para com aqueles que se apresentam montados em bombas, com os seus discursos aparentemente fora de contexto, pois estas bombam podem, de um momento para o outro, explodirem em nossos quintais.

It was a time when the humper car was one of the most exciting and disputed attractions in amusement parks. Today, with the proliferation of theme parks increasingly sophisticated in producing large amounts of adrenaline, the naive toys have been practically abolished. We can make a parallel between boxing and MMA; if before we revered the technique of a Muhammad Ali and his destructive crusaders (wearing gloves), today, literally, everyone is stunned, in a collective catharsis, in front of a Conor Mc Gregor when he knocks down his opponent with a knee in the chin, throwing himself over the inert and bloody body with blows that aim the head. The rejoicing of the masses with the suffering of others is not of today, see the Roman arenas or, bringing other facts of this “haunted castle”, the slave ships and the concentration camps that are still a shocking reality in our times. Alba, in the work “Bombs are the new toys”, does not speak only of the war artifact, produced, today, on a scale never seen by the great powers, but of the ultra conservatism that is growing, especially among young people, bringing naturalization in its wake of violence and the consequent death drive like a hovering cloud. It is a warning, that is, we must not be oblivious to those who present themselves mounted on bombs, with their speeches apparently out of context, as these bombs can, from one moment to the next, explode in our yards.
